Keith G. Johnson, President and CEO

Keith Johnson is president and chief executive officer of the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South, an internationally known non-profit organization that serves approximately 160,000 Mid-Southerners each year through 8 full-service branches that offer aquatic, wellness, teen leadership, at-risk youth and senior programs.

Keith Johnson is a YMCA veteran with more than 30 years of experience and has worked with YMCA organizations in Atlanta, Ga.; Fort Worth, Texas; Richmond, Va.; and New Orleans, La. In 1993, he joined the local Fogelman Downtown YMCA as executive director and vice president. He was promoted to association chief operations officer in 2001 and in 2005 became YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South president and chief executive officer.

A native of Arkansas, Johnson is a Georgia State University graduate. He is a member of the Memphis Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, and will serve as Club President in 2010–2011. He was also a member of The Leadership Academy 2006 Masters Class, is an active member of the Memphis Emmaus Community and has served as Lay Leader and Board Chair of the Collierville United Methodist Church and serves on the Steering Committee of the Mid-South American Humanics Collaborative.
