The Davis Family YMCA currently operates a 30,000 square foot facility located in the Whitehaven community. In 2000, the Y completed a $200,000 dollar renovation and now offers a facility complete with pool, basketball court; fitness center, computer lab, weight room and large men & women locker rooms, upgraded the fitness equipment, added a steam room and renovated the front reception area. Located in an the southeast section of Memphis in the community known as the Whitehaven community, the Y is reaching out to the community with fitness, recreation and education activities for all ages. Innovative youth development programs include the Teen Achievers, Youth Achievers, employment training, and mentoring programs. The Y provides quality before and after school programs and summer camp opportunities at local schools and outpost locations.
