The Orrs

Sometimes life can throw you curveballs. That's why Memphis and the Mid-South community have the Y. And no one knows better than the Orr family. The Orr family was a two-parent working household with two kids of their own, when they were suddenly responsible for a relative's two children as well. In addition to new family dynamics, there were new financial pressures. But donations to the YMCA's Open Doors Program enabled the Orrs newly extended family to participate in youth sports and summer day camp. So the parents could keep working and the kids could have the activities they need to enrich spirit, mind and body. The Orrs were helped directly by donations from people just like you.
