This half-day course will focus on injury prevention, recognition and management of injuries when they happen, and guidelines for safe return-to-sports. Topics will include common sports injuries, concussion, heat illness, injury prevention, overuse and sport specialization. It is ideal for athletic directors, coaches, trainers, administrators, parents, and others who work with adolescent youth involved in organized sports. Training for concussion and heat illness will be provided.

At the Y, we believe that the ability to swim is a critical life-saving skill for every child, teen and adult. In our swim lessons we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet kids at their own level, help families set achievable goals, and celebrate success.
Classes meet Mondays & Wednesdays for a total of 8 classes per session. Classes are 30 minutes long.
