Winter Dome Installation

Pool Closure: October 1st – 8th

The pool at the Cordova Family YMCA will be closing at 1:00 p.m. on October 1st in order to install the winter air dome. The pool will reopen October 8th.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Feel free to use any of our other area locations during this time.



Get into the harvest season this October with a Trunk-or-Treat hosted by the Cordova YMCA! Bring the family for a night of sweet treats, games, activities, and more!

Sign-up at the Welcome Center for a space to park your car. We will be accepting candy donations all month!

YMCA Swim Team

Developmental Swim Team

The Cordova Family YMCA is excited to begin our swim team! All year round the Cordova Family YMCA will offer a swim team for kids of all abilities! Children will be taught how to swim all four competitive strokes, starts, and turns. A YMCA league-wide meet will be hosted at the Ric Nuber YMCA for each session. Sign up today!

August Swim Lessons

Private Lessons & Group Lessons Available

Learn to swim at the YMCA! Our excellent programs are designed for members of all ages to learn the basics of swimming, and to improve their techniques! Our friendly instructors teach in an easy-to-learn manner and are able to accommodate both large and small-group classes.

Cost: Members $60 / Non-Members $100 (includes 8 lessons)
Ages: Preschool – Adult
Date: Beginning August 15th

Pre-School Lessons:
Monday & Wednesday: 5:00 – 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 5:00 – 5:30 p.m.

Youth Lessons:
Monday & Wednesday: 5:30 – 6:15 p.m.

Biddy Basketball Clinic

This program is designed for children to begin learning the fundamentals of basketball! In addition to learning basic skills, the child will also learn the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. This clinic will provide each child plenty of opportunity to touch the ball and become comfortable with it. Each child will need to provide their own appropriately sized basketball.

Ages: 4-5

Dates: Fridays, beginning October 28. Clinic will run for 4 weeks.

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a small-group program that helps adult cancer survivors reclaim their health and well-being following a cancer diagnosis. Through this program YMCAs are creating communities among cancer survivors and guiding them through safe physical activity, helping them build supportive relationships, and reducing stress – leading to an improved quality of life.

Begins: Monday, August 29, 2016
Days: Mondays & Thursdays
Time: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Duration: 12 weeks
Cost: Free of Charge

The program consists of group exercise using cardio equipment and strength training machines, guest speakers, and more, all in a support group atmosphere. The program is open to the public and will be free of charge.

To become a part of this session participants need to be 18 years old and up. Participants with any type of cancer are welcome. They may be going through treatments or not — may even be long time cancer survivor that needs help getting back to their normal life.
