Fall Adult Basketball

Registration ends August 30th.

Ages: 18 and up

Team Fees: $450 (includes referee fees, tournament & championship hat/shirt)

League Information:

-Games begin September 9th
-All team members must be on the roster prior to first game
-No add-ons after the first game
-Team fee must be paid all at once
-Games are played on Tuesday and/or Thursday at Davis YMCA
-Each team must have jerseys and/or shirts with numbers
(shirts with numbers can be provided for an additional $12 per shirt)
-Each team member must fill out a player registration form

Fall Swim Lessons

At the Y, we believe that the ability to swim is a critical life skill for every child, teen and adult. In group swim lessons, we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet kids at their own level, help families set achievable goals and celebrate success.

Get Fit Fitness Program

weights-manA personalized program designed specifically for adults who are new or returning to exercise, this program prepares an inactive individual to begin exercising and then helps that individual to maintain an exercise program.

Personal Training

Get the personal attention, motivation and expertise you need to achieve your health and fitness goals with YMCA personal training.

Our nationally certified YMCA personal trainers are here to serve you and help you reach your fitness goals. They have the knowledge and expertise to develop a safe and effective wellness program to best address your specific needs and interests, including strength, cardiovascular fitness and flexibility. Plus, they’re hired for their passion and commitment to upholding the Y’s mission to help you reach your fullest potential.

The YMCA understands that everyone is not at the same fitness level, so we accommodate you at your specific level of fitness. Whether you are an avid exerciser or a beginner, you can feel confident knowing that our personal trainers ensure you are being trained in a safe environment and at a comfortable pace.

We can assist you with single sessions for those who are self-motivated and just need to get started, or multiple sessions for those who need a little more motivation and coaching.

Personal training sessions are available to YMCA members only, are by appointment only (typically with a 24-hour cancellation policy), and may be provided by YMCA staff trainers only (members may not bring their own personal trainers). Sessions are approximately one hour in length. Call us at 901.398.2366 or see a Welcome Center staff member for personal training options and appointments.

The YMCA incorporates values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility into each program for active older adults.


Wellness Meetings: Assessments & Consultations

Developed through 150 years of experience and professionalism in the spirit, mind, and body arena, YMCA Wellness Meetings are a FREE service ($75 value) with your active YMCA membership. Meetings may involve any and all components as determined by the member, including:


  • Health screen/medical release (if necessary)
  • Resting heart rate
  • Body composition
  • Cardiovascular fitness (3 minute step)
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Blood Pressure
  • Flexibility (sit and reach)
  • Strength and endurance (1/2 sit-ups / 1/2 pushups)
  • Consultation


  • Cardio equipment demonstration
  • Workout program set-up
  • Target heart zone
  • Aerobic exercise
  • Strength training equipment demonstration
  • Stretching
  • Follow-up

Re-evaluation recommended every three to six months to:

  • Adjust your goals and program design
  • Chart your progress throughout the year
