WELLNESS CHALLENGE

Stretch Yourself In More Ways Than One

Join our 30-day Wellness Challenge. This 15 Workout Challenge will earn you a free Y t-shirt and keep you motivated all through February!

February 6th – March 6th

CHALLENGE GUIDELINES:

  • Complete 15 Workouts between February 6th and March 6th
  • Minimum of 30 Minutes = 1 Workout
  • Maximum 1 Workout Per Calendar Day
  • Age 10 & up

Register online using the links below or visit the Welcome Center at your branch so we can get your information and t-shirt size.

WORKOUT TRACKING NETWORK APP

This digital wellness solution will help us connect, engage and interact with you. You can set goals, track workouts, and compete in challenges. You can also link and use your other favorite apps and devices ( Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, Nike+ & More!)

Directions: 

On your phone, go to the Apple Store or Google Play Store to download our app. Search for YMCA Memphis or Memphis Workout to find the app with white “Y” logo and purple background by Netpulse Inc.

Once you download the app, you can log in or create your XID and get tracking! See any Wellness Staff for more information.

Winter/Spring Swim Lessons

At the Y, we believe that the ability to swim is a critical life skill for every child, teen, and adult. In group swim lessons we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet kids at their own level, help families set achievable goals and celebrate success together. Swim lessons are taught using YMCA of the USA progressive swim lesson guidelines.

Session 1: January 10 – February 2
Session 2: February 7 – March 2
Session 3: March 7 – 30
Session 4: April 4 – April 27
Session 5: May 2 – May 25

Sessions are 4 weeks long, meeting twice each week for a total of 8 classes.  Classes meet according to age level.

Preschool (Ages 3 – 5)
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Times: 5:00 – 5:45 p.m. & 6:00 – 6:45 p.m.

Youth (Ages 6 – 12)
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Times: 5:00 – 5:45 p.m. & 6:00 – 6:45 p.m.

Adults (Ages 13 & Up)
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Time: 7:00 – 7:45 p.m.

Parent Child Swim (Ages 6 Months – 3 Years)
Days: Saturdays
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Dates: January 14 – May 27

Fees: 
Member $60, Non-Member $100

Aqua Zumba® is the new hit Latin dance/exercise routine that will not only help you reach your fitness goals, but make sure you have a great time doing so! Listen to world music while learning new dance moves from all around the world. This invigorating low impact program is easy on your joints.

The Y will partner with Bring It Food Hub to offer produce subscriptions. This is a weekly delivery of fresh local fruits and vegetables. The Fogelman Y will become a pick-up location for members who sign up for a subscription.

TRX/Cardio Circuit

Ages: Adult

TRX Suspension Training was developed by the US Navy. Now you can get the same training in a small group setting under the supervision of an experienced trainer. The body weight exercises build power, strength, flexibility and balance.
