Couch To 5K Running Club

Join the Running Club hosted by Ric Nuber YMCA and get in shape! The club will meet Thursday nights beginning July 27th to train together and finish with the graduation 5K race September 4th!

2017 Youth Sports Injury Prevention Symposium

Presented by Campbell Clinic and the Campbell Foundation

Date: Saturday, July 29, 2017
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: Bryan Campus Life Center at Rhodes College
2000 North Pkwy, Memphis, TN 38112
Cost: FREE

This half-day course will focus on injury prevention, recognition and management of injuries when they happen, and guidelines for safe return-to-sports. Topics will include common sports injuries, concussion, heat illness, injury prevention, overuse and sport specialization. It is ideal for athletic directors, coaches, trainers, administrators, parents, and others who work with adolescent youth involved in organized sports. Training for concussion and heat illness will be provided.

Let’s help keep kids safe in the sports they love for life!

Fall Group Swim Lessons

At the Y, we believe that the ability to swim is a critical life skill for every child, teen, and adult. In group swim lessons we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet kids at their own level, help families set achievable goals and celebrate success together. Swim lessons are taught using YMCA of the USA progressive swim lesson guidelines.
