Tiny & Junior Tumblers

The Tiny & Junior Tumbler program is  designed to teach your child all basic aspects of tumbling, muscle control and coordination! Jumps and motions included in class curriculum. All sessions will be held in the basketball gymnasium (South End).

Sessions (Saturdays):

Session 1: October 4th
Registration Deadline:  September 27th

Session 2:  October 18th
Registration Deadline: October 8th

Session 3:  October 25th
Registration Deadline: October 15th

Session 4:  November 1st
Registration Deadline: October 31st

Tiny Tumblers: 9:00 a.m.

Lifeguard Course

This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a lifeguard and professional rescuer. Upon successful completion of this course participants will be certified in ASHI (American Safety and Health Institute’s CPR Pro, Basic First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, and YMCA lifeguard). Minimum age to take the course is 16 and participants must successfully complete the prerequisites on the first night of class. Sign up now; space is limited. Walk-ins are not accepted.

(Prerequisite swim night and ASHI e-learning assigned)

Tuesday        September 9th     5:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Wednesday    September 10th      5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

*Attendance to all sessions is mandatory.

Must have access to computer/email for e-learning modules.

Be prepared for swim sessions and classroom on each day.

The last day will include a written and water test.

Cost of Certification Course: $200 member        $250 non-member

Fall Swim Lessons

At the Y, we believe that the ability to swim is a critical life skill for every child, teen and adult. In group swim lessons, we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet kids at their own level, help families set achievable goals and celebrate success.

Parent/Child Classes:
Ages: 6 months- 3 years

Preschool and Youth Classes:
Ages: 3-5 years and 6 and up

Adult Classes:
Ages: 13 and up

Duration: 45 minutes long. (shrimp classes are 30 minutes long)

Sessions: All fall sessions will be Tuesday and Thursday and four weeks long.

Session 1 – September 2-25

Session 2 – October 7-30

Session 3 – November 4-25


5:00 p.m. class offerings - Shrimp, Polliwog, Guppy, Minnow or Fish

6:00 p.m. class offerings - Pike, Eel, or Ray

7:00 p.m. class offerings – Polliwog, Guppy, Minnow, Fish or Adult

*Parents must remain on the YMCA premises during swim lessons

Outdoor Running Club

Training for a 5K? Have a goal of running in a 10K or marathon? Or maybe you’re just looking to get in better shape and enjoy the outdoors. The Y Run Club is for you! We meet every Thursday evening at 6:30pm at the Welcome Center.


  • Bring water, your ID and reflective clothing
  • Choose your own pace and distance

P90X is a powerful yet flexible program that can help you lose excess fat, gain lean muscle, prepare for athletic events, excel at sports, and improve your health. Many P90X graduates find that they not only look and feel better than ever before, but they’ve also gained more confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Certified instructor, Kevin Crenshaw, will motivate and encourage you to reach your goals. Sign-ups are required for all classes.

Middle School Afterschool Program

It can be hard to figure out your place in the world. As a young person, having the right guidance and support can make a real difference in figuring out who you are and what you can achieve. The Y is committed to nurturing children and teens for their success.

The Olive Branch Family YMCA is proud to partner with:

  • Center Hill Middle School
  • DeSoto Central Middle School
  • Lewisburg Middle School
  • Olive Branch Middle School
    Bus transportation picks up at these schools and brings them to the Olive Branch Family YMCA.

6th- 8th grade

12 Weeks to Personal Fitness

Ages: 18 – and up

During this program, a Fitness Coach will provide instruction on all equipment as well as explain basic exercises to improve cardio fitness as well as upper and lower body strength. Your Fitness Coach is there to answer questions, keep you motivated, and keep you accountable as you complete the program. Graduates of this program are equipped and well prepared to be successful in a continued exercise and strength training program; often transitioning them into the Wellness Center.

Ages: 16-99 years of age

This class covers the fundamental first aid with CPR and AED skills for adults, children, and infants. Once completed, participants will receive a two year American Heart Association Certification card.

Registration: Register two weeks prior to class. Class limit is 5 minimum and 9 maximum.

Member: $50
Non-Member: $60
Discount for Companies or large groups.
