Join us as we celebrate YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®, the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of families. Healthy Kids Day will include fun active play and educational activities to keep kids moving and learning, in order to maintain healthy habits and academic skills to achieve goals and reach their full potential.
All activities are free and open to the public.

Swim for a cause and support YMCA Aquatic Youth Programs by swimming a mile for time on May 17 in our Indoor Pool and kick off the opening of outdoor pool after. All Proceeds from this event will help the YMCA provide swim lesson scholarships for youth in need.
There will be 4 heats of swimmers. Each heat will begin at the top of the hour beginning at 8:00 a.m. and the last heat beginning at 11:00 a.m. Volunteers will count your laps and time your mile swim.
$30 per participant

At the Y, we believe that the ability to swim is a critical life skill for every child, teen and adult. In group swim lessons, we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet kids at their own level, help families set achievable goals and celebrate success.

Outdoor Adventure Camp
Take a break from your regular routine and explore the outdoors. We will spend the week participating in activities outside. Each day we will load the bus and travel to our event for the day. Activities will include canoeing, biking (Greenline and trails), swimming, hiking, and challenging tree climbing. This will be a week to remember as we take advantage of the outdoors in the Mid-South.

Middle School Camp- Middle school students will enjoy a wide variety of camp activities at Camp Pinecrest, located in La Grange, TN. Campers enjoy tree climbing, swimming, hiking, canoeing, campfires, and other outdoor activities. Check out CampPinecrest.org for more information.

All Sports Camp
Come join us as we spend the week playing all the sports that the YMCA offers. Sports will include basketball, soccer, flag football, dodge ball, and more. We will have instruction and competition for a different sport each day. Players need to bring a lunch each day, we will provide the beverage. Don’t miss this exciting week to play, compete, and meet new friends.

Jump start the year with P90X and get in the best shape of your life. Our personal trainers are certified in P90X and will guide you safely through the most popular resistance and body-weight training, cardio, plyometrics, ab work, martial arts and yoga routines.

It can be hard to figure out your place in the world. As a young person, having the right guidance and support can make a real difference in figuring out who you are and what you can achieve. The Y is committed to nurturing children and teens for their success.

This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a lifeguard and professional rescuer. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be certified in ASHI (American Safety and Health Institute’s CPR Pro, Basic First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, and YMCA lifeguard). Minimum age to take the course is 16 and participants must successfully complete the prerequisites on the first night of class. Sign up now; space is limited. Walk-ins are not accepted.

Course 4- Prerequisite- April 17, Class- April 25-28
*Attendance to all sessions is mandatory

Check email regularly for updated course information. Refunds will be only be given in the event the prerequisites are failed or a 48 hour notice is given before the first day of the course.
Must have access to computer/email for e-learning modules. Be prepared for swim sessions and classroom on each day. The last day will include a written and water test.

Ages: 18 – and up
During this program, a Fitness Coach will provide instruction on all equipment as well as explain basic exercises to improve cardio fitness as well as upper and lower body strength. Your Fitness Coach is there to answer questions, keep you motivated, and keep you accountable as you complete the program. Graduates of this program are equipped and well prepared to be successful in a continued exercise and strength training program; often transitioning them into the Wellness Center.

Ages: 16-99 years of age
This class covers the fundamental first aid with CPR and AED skills for adults, children, and infants. Once completed, participants will receive a two year American Heart Association Certification card.
Registration: Register two weeks prior to class. Class limit is 5 minimum and 9 maximum.
