Fun. Delivered fresh daily. Summer Day Camp offers children a variety of imaginative activities that nurture their spirits, challenge their minds, and strengthen their bodies. Campers participate in age-appropriate activities, including enrichment, STEM, reading, physical fitness, swimming and field trips. Weekly themes provide a basis for activities that help children learn about themselves and the world around them in a group environment. Free safe swim instruction is provided for all campers.

Our youth fitness and fun classes help kids build physical and social skills through swim, sports and play. We want youth to develop a life-long appreciation for active living.
A fun, high energy class that is game oriented for ages 5-12. The class format will vary from circuit training, fitness stations, and drills. Athletic shoes required.
PRESCHOOLERS LOVE EXERCISE
A fun way to get active, have fun and exercise all at the same time. Features a variety of relays, races, and fun games. For preschool age. Athletic shoes required.
TAE KWON DO 1
Traditional TKD class for the entire family including kids, teens, and adults with an emphasis on proper mind set and instinctive Self Defense. Classes also cover conditioning, practical sparring, forms, basic striking and kicking. Belt testing optional. For ages 9 and up.
TAE KWON DO 2
For the entire family including kids, teens, and adults. Advanced version of Tae Kwon Do 1. Emphasis on proper mind set, attitude and psychological effects of facing armed and unarmed attackers. Advanced joint locking, throwing, striking, kicking, and ground work. Advanced forms, breaking, knowledge, effective kicking and striking. Belt testing optional. For ages 9 and up.
Have fun doing somersaults, using floor beam, mini-trampoline, and more. For ages 5-12. Held in August – May. $
YOUTH STRENGTH TRAINING
This course is designed to introduce your child to the Wellness Center by a certified personal trainer. The benefits of exercise will be discussed with emphasis on safety, proper form and execution. Upon completion of the course each participant will receive a wristband allowing them to workout in the Wellness Center with a parent. For ages 10-15. This is a one time three hour class.
The YMCA at Schilling Farms offers its family members Child Watch at no additional cost. Parents are welcome to bring their children for a maximum of 2 hours per day. Parents MUST remain on the premises. All staff are background checked and drug screened.
How It Works
Child Watch staff will receive photo Y-membership cards from both the parent and child at drop-off. Cards will be returned at pick-up. Members must have a current family membership to access Kids Corner or Club 1185. Children must be signed in and out by the same parent each visit. Parents with children in both rooms will need two photo Y-membership cards. No food allowed due to food allergies.
Minimum of 2 staff present at all times with your child in Kids Corner.

When Club 1185 is not open, children up to age 10 are welcome.

Wii, games, and more fun!
PLEASE REVIEW FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT THE Y!
Parents are asked not to enter Kids Corner during drop-off and pick-up unless a child needs to be changed, is crying, or to drop-off/pick-up infant carrier. Parents are welcome to come in and spend time with their child during the first few visits.
Since we are not a licensed daycare, Kids Corner cannot change diapers. Staff will find the parent if a child’s diaper needs to be changed.
Due to so many allergies, please leave snacks at home. If we are doing a special snack, we will let you know. If you are dropping off a sippy cup or bottle, please label with your child’s name.
Please no outside toys except small stuffed animals. Electronic games are allowed in Club 1185. YMCA is not responsible for lost or damaged items. Must be age 7 and up to play the Wii.
If child is not walking, an infant carrier must be provided. All children must be wearing socks or shoes. Tennis shoes are preferred on days when there are children’s exercise classes. No strollers are permitted for space reasons.
We want to do our best to not spread germs, so we wipe down all toys after each day. Help us reduce sickness by allowing your child to be fever/diarrhea free for at least 24 hours before returning to Child Watch.
We will do everything possible to help your child adjust. If a child cries for more than 5 minutes, we will come and get the parent to try and settle them down.
