Personal training at the Fogelman Downtown YMCA

Our nationally certified YMCA personal trainers are here to serve you and help you reach your fitness goals. They have the knowledge and expertise to develop a safe and effective wellness program to best address your specific needs and interests, including strength, cardiovascular fitness and flexibility. Plus, they're hired for their passion and commitment to upholding the Y's mission to help you reach your fullest potential.

The YMCA understands that everyone is not at the same fitness level, so we accommodate you at your specific level of fitness. Whether you are an avid exerciser or a beginner, you can feel confident knowing that our personal trainers ensure you are being trained in a safe environment and at a comfortable pace. We can assist you with single sessions for those who are self-motivated and just need to get started, or multiple sessions for those who need a little more motivation and coaching.

Personal training sessions are available to YMCA members only, are by appointment only (typically with a 24-hour cancellation policy), and may be provided by YMCA staff trainers only (members may not bring their own personal trainers).

Fees: $40/hour or you may purchase 10 sessions for $375

Stacy Chick

Stacy has been personal training and working in the fitness industry since 2001. She is an avid runner and enjoys working with individuals, groups, families and youth. Let her know your goals and she'll help you make it happen!

Qualifications:

  • AAFA Certified Personal Trainer
  • American Heart Association CPR
  • Bachelors in Nutrition
  • Studying Physical Education at University of Memphis
  • Owner/Trainer of River Workout Fitness Program

Andrew Knight III

Andrew has studied, trained and worked in the field of health and fitness for more then 25 years. He believes health and fitness is in the hands of the patron and he seeks to give them the best opportunity to achieve optimum health for themselves and his family. He specializes in personal training of individuals, couples and groups, body building, self defense and nutritional counseling.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Personal and Group Trainer
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Associate Degree in Arts
  • Currently attending Alabama College of Natural Health for Naturopathy of Holistic Medicine Degree

Jason McLemore

Jason wants to challenge the limits of what you think you can do. He operates with the philosophy that “with great work comes great reward.” Jason fought his own battle with fitness by putting in the hard work to lose weight and become healthy. He has experience working with people across all fitness levels and will create a plan to help you move toward total wellness.

Lisa Sanchez

Originally from the bay area of California, Lisa graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in Theatre Arts. While pursuing her acting career, she became certified as an aerobic instructor and personal trainer. She finds working with individuals to help them pursue a healthy lifestyle to be extremely rewarding.

Michael Sinc

He has trained clients all over the country, spending much of his time in Texas and California before returning to Memphis in 1988. With many years of extensive reasearch and study in the field of Sports Nutrition allows him to guide his clients in all areas of healthy living. His aim is to bring into union his clients' desires and goals through understanding, balance, determination, and one pointed focus; along with the inner realization that total mental, emotional and physical fitness ultimately determine quality of life.
