Summer Day Camp

Register your kids for YMCA Summer Day Camp.

Attended by more than 2,000 youth throughout the Mid-South, YMCA Summer Day Camp is an affordable kids' vacation close to home! YMCA Summer Day Camp gives children ages 5-12 a safe and exciting place to have fun, meet new friends and make memories to last a lifetime.

"Thanks to the Y, my kids have learned to play with other kids better, learned sharing, good manners and even how to work out problems better. The Y really instills great, wholesome Christian values. And the staff encourages kids to use their time wisely."

—Sharon T., nurse, working mother of 3, Summer Day Camp parent

YMCA Summer Day Camp offers a wide range of activities, including:

  • Swimming and water safety
  • Recreational and sporting activities
  • Crafts
  • Field trips

The Summer Day Camp program is designed to encourage campers to grow in spirit, mind and body. Our goals are:

  • To have fun!
  • To build character by emphasizing caring, respect, honesty and responsibility
  • To help children develop self-awareness, confidence and feelings of self-worth
  • To provide opportunities for children to learn new skills
  • To enable children to develop their own minds and perspectives through programming that encourages imagination, creativity and expression
  • To encourage the development of life skills such as self-control, cooperative attitudes, communication skills and conflict resolution
  • To strengthen families by providing peace of mind while their children are in our care

Registration fee (for non-members) and first week's payment are due at the time of registration. Both of these fees are nonrefundable.

The YMCA is committed to building healthy spirit, mind and body for all. With the YMCA Open Doors Program and fee assistance programs, everyone can afford to keep their kids safe and healthy this summer. For more information, call your YMCA branch, or stop by the Welcome Center for a fee assistance application.
