Lifeguard Training Classes

May 22-27

The Davis YMCA will offer lifeguard classes in the spring during the months of March, April and May. Students will learn how to recognize potential victims, stop accidents before they occur, perform rescues, and other basic knowledge needed to be a lifeguard. Prerequisites for the lifeguard class include:

• Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
• Oxygen Administration and First Aid certification
• Ability to swim 500 yards continuously
• Ability to swim 15 feet underwater
• Ability to tread water for two minutes with no hands

Lifeguard W/CPR $180
Lifeguard Renewal $75
