Before and After School Enrichment Program
The YMCA recognizes that the availability of affordable, quality child care poses one of the greatest hurdles for working parents. Our state licensed school age child care program operates at the Y, offering a variety of age appropriate enrichment and recreational activities. Daily homework assistance time is scheduled. As one of the largest providers of child care in the state of Tennessee, we have a special commitment to families in Whitehaven and surrounding communities to provide them access to high-quality, affordable Before and After School childcare.

Affordable Childcare Fees & Assistance Program

Reasonable, affordable fees are offered to provide an opportunity for all children to participate. The sliding fee scale is available to families making direct payments for childcare services. Slots at the various levels are contingent upon the availability of funds.

The YMCA also accepts vouchers from the Department of Human Services.
The Davis YMCA will provide service to and from the following schools providing at least 5 children are enrolled in the program.

Holiday Camps
When schools are on break, we also offer Holiday Camps so that your child has a safe, fun place to go. Transportation sites and schools served are the same as with our before and after school care program.

Before and After School Care Programs Site/Staff Information
The Davis YMCA Before & After School Enrichment Program provides a safe, supportive environment with realistic and appropriate expectations. Positive interaction and exciting enhancement programs help children build a strong foundation.
The staff is selected for personal qualities of warmth, empathy and ability to relate positively to children. We conduct criminal background reports, central registry checks, pre-employment and random drug testing and motor vehicle report checks on all of our employees. At least one person at each site is First Aid and CPR certified.
