For kids who want to dive deeper into their passions, Specialty Camps offer a unique summer experience focused on specific activities like STEAM, theater, sports, and more—all while still incorporating the fun and friendships of traditional YMCA camp.
With smaller camp sizes and a mix of indoor and outdoor activities tailored to each interest, campers get hands-on learning, skill-building, and plenty of exciting challenges. Whether they’re developing their acting skills, discovering the world of science and engineering, or honing their athletic abilities, there’s a Specialty Camp for everyone!

TEEN SPECIALTY WEEKS
JR. LIFEGUARD COURSE
AGES 11 - 14
A two-week course offered by the American Red Cross, led by a YMCA-certified lifeguard. This aquatic camp, provides a strong foundation in the knowledge, skills, and responsibilities of future lifeguards, all while still allowing time for fun camp activities. Participants will gain essential lifeguarding techniques and develop the confidence to lead both in the water and on the pool deck.
