Ellis & Associates Certification
Learn the skills necessary to be a lifeguard and professional rescuer. Through classroom activities, group discussion, online e-learning, and hands-on practice, you’ll learn the skills you need to work as a lifeguard.
All participants must be 16 years of age, have access to a computer and email for the eLearning lessons, and pass the swimming skills assessment on the first night of class. Items to bring to class included: swimsuit, towel, class materials (provided), and all homework and eLearning assignments indicated on the class syllabus. 100% attendance is required; no make-up dates are offered.
The steps to successfully completing this program are as follows:
- Complete swim assessment
- Meet training prerequisites
- Pass all certification requirements
- Received final student evaluation
Total Course Fee: $200 ( for members ) $250 ( for non-members )
Includes: Training materials, class time, background check & uniform.

Training Classes
Learn the skills necessary to be a lifeguard and professional rescuer. Participants will also be certified in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergencies.
- Ellis and Associates is a premier Lifeguard Certification
- Must attend all class dates per session
- Session Fee includes: Class Materials, instruction, CPR mask & test
- Passing participants receive certification and interview opportunity at YMCA of their choice
